Preliminary and Detailed Design

The detailed development process begins after the concept reaches a satisfactory point. The preliminary design team creates the product framework that is important for product development. Visual presentation to customers is done using digital design frameworks that help effectively communicate the idea of the product.

General product details are defined in the detailed design process. Subcomponents, dimensions and tolerances are determined accordingly. This study facilitates more accurate estimation of product features and cost. Most importantly, it allows for sequential prototyping and testing.

Design engineering perfection

The process includes preliminary and detailed design in which general features and functions are developed. This is followed by prototypes prepared and tested to confirm the design. Throughout the prototyping cycle, test results, challenges, and areas for improvement are reviewed. The design is then developed through modification or reworked from scratch to provide maximum improvement. Cyclical in nature, this process often requires repetition of prototyping and the test cycle.
